The process for filing the claim are: -

Ø Inform the insurance Company

Ø Capture the photos

Ø If require file FIR

Ø Submit the required document

Inform the Insurance Company

It is very important to inform the insurance company immediately. According to IRDAI, it is customer liability to inform the insurance company as soon as possible.

Capture the photos

If you are in an okay condition take some photos of your vehicle for proof. This photo can help you at the time of claim.

Take your vehicle to the nearest garage

If your vehicle is not in a condition to move, then use a crane service to lift your vehicle to the nearest garage (it’s a suggestion that the selection of the garage should be authorized by the insurance company). A surveyor will come and examine the condition of the vehicle and approve the claim.

If required file FIR

In case, the incident required an FIR, it will be mandatory to file an FIR in the police station. The claim process cannot step further without the authorization of the police.

Submit the required document

The insurance company requires the document of your vehicle and the driver. The company will provide you a form, in which the details of the vehicle, driver and incident has to be filled out.

Car repair

In the end, the garage has to repair the vehicle. As soon as your vehicle is repaired take your vehicle to and enjoy the safe and smooth drive.
